The Billwas introduced to Parliament on the 4th May and we, alongside our partners in BEFS, strongly endorse the provisions in the Bill. The new legislation will go a singificant way towards closing gaps and loopholes that exist. We are particulary pleased to see the wider definition of the what constitutes a monument and removal of the defence that people did not know that they were about to carry out work on a sheduled ancient monument. We would like the Bill to address the need for wider...
