Become A Member

As a member of Archaeology Scotland you’ll receive the Archaeology Scotland magazine three times per year which brings you current stories and issues in archaeology; and our annual journal Discovery and Excavation in Scotland which chronicles all the year’s archaeological excavations, geo-physical surveys, Treasure Trove finds and more. Members can borrow our artefact investigation kits and archaeological workshops for free (subject to availability) and are entitled to members' rates for the annual ARP conference and the Summer School. In development is our Members’ Forum where you can have your say and get in touch with local societies, companies and individuals, for whom archaeology in Scotland is an interest, an active pastime or a profession.

To cover post and packing, non-UK memberships are a little more expensive.

You can join Archaeology Scotland for as little as £20 per year. You can join as an individual member, as a family or as a society. We even have special rates for students, and the unwaged. Choose which membership option is right for you. You can also take out Joint membership for Archaeology Scotland and the Council for British Archaeology (CBA).
